Dear Ladies,

I am sorry to inform you that Lynn University has confirmed that Christine Gianacaci was found late Thursday evening in the rubble of the Hotel Montana. Her funeral arrangements have not yet been finalized. This has been such an unspeakable tragedy; Jean (her mother) is a vibrant woman, and a dedicated member of our Republican community - it is just heartbreaking.

Thank you again for your support and prayers. Above all, please know that your calls and emails to Senators Lautenberg and Menendez did work. Prior to our efforts, the Senators were not focusing on the Americans in Haiti; within a day of our flood of calls and emails, they each reached out to Jean to see how they could be of help.

As mothers, sisters, daughters and friends, I believe we provided Jean with the strength to endure the unimaginable with our prayers, and gave sound to her pleas with our voices - for that, I will forever be in your debt.
